A stay, day by day
There is no programme. Most stays still go something like this.
Day one
The car meets you at the valley station. Dinner is at eight, at one long table.
Pick-up from two in the afternoon
Day two
Through the larches to the upper lake with Mara. She carries the lunch.
Five hours, 620 metres of climbing
Day three
Nothing planned. Most guests take a book to the window seat and stay there.
Soup at one, the sauna from four
Day four
Breakfast until eleven, then a last long look down the valley from your room.
