Trace Mobility Atlas '26
Over 4,000 people told us how they move through the city, from the daily commute to long weekend tours to the family shopping run on three wheels.
We sorted the respondents into three groups to better understand the differences in daily life:
44 % of respondents- Ride to work or training four to five days a week, usually on the same route.
- Weather is the most common reason to switch to bus and train for a while.
- The youngest group, with above-average numbers living in inner-city areas.
EverydayCommuter
31 % of respondents- Mostly out on weekends, averaging 60 to 90 kilometers per ride.
- Plan routes digitally and rarely stray from them on the go.
- Spend the most on gear, often at local specialty shops.
TourRider
25 % of respondents- Use cargo bikes for shopping, daycare runs, and everyday transport.
- In many households this fully replaces the second car.
- Above all they want wider bike lanes and safe parking.
